Experiences and activities on the Odder coast

Danish ”hygge” and entertainment is given pride of place at this miniature golf course with proud traditions, located only a few steps from the best beach on the east coast, Saksild Beach. Visit Eastern Jutland’s largest antique dealer in the village Sondrup where the owner has spent a lifetime collecting old quality furniture and decorations. In the store, you can see some of the gems of the collection and admire the owner’s handcrafted furniture.

Hou is turned topsy-turvy when this year's harbour festival kicks off in the first weekend in July. As usual, the port festival offers a wonderful mix of harbour fun, sports, music, partying and entertainment - and it is completely free.

Visit the witch’s house and take a peek into her cupboard, filled with frog spit and sneezing powder. Step onto the troll’s bridge – if you dare. Or hide away in the bog wife’s willow hut. The Fairy-tale Forest is home to all sorts of supernatural creatures, waiting for you to bring them to life.

A visit at Fru Møllers Mølleri is a complete experience. Drop in and see the farm animals up close, take a break and a deep breath. Browse the specialties and fantastic produce available from the farm shop and restaurant. This is a real soil-to-table experience.

Between Odder and Hou in East Jutland you can visit this large orchard selling a multitude of different berries and fruit. Visit the farm shop, the fruit stall, or pick your own apples.

Odder Golf Club is scenically located by Åkjær Forest, built near old burial mounds, by the famous golf course architect Frederik Dreyer. If you are new to golf, you can try a game of golf at the Par-3 course, borrow equipment and finish off with a burger in the café.

Put on your hiking boots and set off on this 10-kilometre-long hiking trail from the port of Hou. This scenic walk takes you along the Odder Coast to Hølken Beach and back through the charming town of Hou.

The established glass artist and visual artist Dorthe Bent has her gallery and art studio in the village Ørting near Odder. Visit her store to admire her colourful work and find unique glass art for the interior décor.
