Odder may not have everything you would find in a big city, with 14,000 residents, but there is still plenty of activities to fill the day. Whether you are looking for a charming shopping centre, green spaces, activities, attractions, playgrounds or a peaceful spot to relax, Odder has a little of everything. The town is easy to get around, so you can fit several experiences into your day and still have time for lunch or an ice cream along the way.

Explore the City Centre
Odder town centre is centred around Rosensgade, a 400-metre-long shopping street. For a town of its size, Odder has a good range of shops to explore. Around the shopping street, you will find a couple of cosy squares where you can sit down with a cold drink or enjoy a meal and a well-earned break. Let the kids can run around and play the town park while the grown-ups enjoy the green surroundings.
Everything is within easy walking distance, but allow at least a couple of hours to explore, shop and relax in the town centre.

Odder Museum
Not far from the shopping street, you will find Odder Museum, where you can discover the history of the town and the local area. At the heart of the museum is the old water and steam mill, which is still in working order. Here, you can learn about the miller’s work and what life was like around the mill.
Visit the miller’s house to see one of the museum’s greatest treasures: the Bjørnkær set, a well-preserved collection of pottery from a local distilling device dating back to the 14th century. The museum also has changing exhibitions about local history.
Outside, the mill pond, garden and stream offer a peaceful place to take a break before you continue exploring Odder.

Score a strike at the activity centre
Kuglen & Keglen Together is a large activity centre on the outskirts of Odder. Here, you can enjoy bowling, mini golf, escape rooms, darts, pool football, a bouncy castle, board games and much more – in fact, there are more than 30 different activities to choose from. You can simply drop by for a game of mini golf or bowling and perhaps add a meal. But for the best value for money, choose the Together package, which gives you a full day of activities for less than DKK 200.

Økologiens Have
At this organic visitor garden on the outskirts of Odder, kids as well as adults can get their hands dirty and find plenty of inspiration. Explore fragrant herbs, colourful flowers and lush vegetable gardens, and pick up ideas for your own garden. Along the way, you can meet the garden animals while the kids have fun in the playgrounds. There is plenty of room to explore, relax and enjoy a fun day together outdoors.

Enjoy a movie in the theater
Popcorn, comfortable seats and the latest films await you right in the middle of Rosensgade, Odder’s shopping street. Take the kids to Biffen Odder for a trip to the cinema, or round off a day for two with a good story on the big screen. With plenty of places to eat nearby, it is easy to combine a film with dinner and make a little more of your day.

Tee off for less
At Odder Golf Club on the outskirts of town, you can give golf a try even if you have never held a golf club before. The Golf & Burger package gives you access to the club’s five-hole par-3 course, rentable equipment and a burger at Café Aakær after your game.
Bring your family or friends along for some friendly competition in the fresh air, then finish off with a meal together. The package is available from April to October.

Explore Odder from a kids perspective
With The Odder Treasure Hunt, you can explore Odder town centre and answer questions about the things you see along the way. Hand in your treasure map to the friendly staff at Café Novi and you will receive a gold medal as your reward.
The route takes you past the popular playground in Folkeparken, inspired by the farming history of the Odder area. Here, the kids can play around a mill, a fish shop, a bakery and even more.

A trip to the library
Feel free to stop by at the Odder Library, even if you are not planning to borrow any books. Find a comfortable spot, read the newspaper, use a computer or gather the kids and read a good story. The library is a welcoming place to relax and enjoy a quiet break while exploring the town. Both locals and visitors can feel at home here, and there are events for children and adults throughout the year.

A scenic trip through nature
Odder is surrounded by several lovely forests. Most popular, Vejlskoven and Rathlousdal Forest are just one kilometre south of the town centre and are right next to each other, making them a great place for a walk. Rathlousdal Forest was once home to a zoo, and you can still see the old bear cave, The Bear Grotto, which is a fun place for children to explore.
Another local favourite is Stampmølledalen, a green area just north of the town centre. You can easily reach it on foot via a path from the centre of Odder.
