Beaches in and around Juelsminde

It’s rare that you can enjoy beach life up close to the town - but you can in Juelsminde. There is Storstranden with the 62 m long new jetty just a stone’s throw from the town, and there is plenty to choose from out of town for you who are staying in a cottage or visiting on a day trip.

The Great Beach (Storstranden)

One of the very best beaches along the Jutland east coast awaits you in Juelsminde. As Vig Beach

Beautifully located in the bay of As Vig, you find this nice beach with its fine sand. At the large area of holiday homes, you can stock up and you can park in the large parking lot right on the water’s edge.

Pøt Beach

A series of small bathing beaches are located by the holiday home area Pøt Strandby. There are few facilities here, but the nature is impressive, and the bathing water has a fine quality.

Sønderby Beach

Nestled in As Vig Bay on the east coast of Jutland, this beach sits by the holiday home area of Sønderby. The beach offers excellent bathing water but limited facilities. It is rarely crowded, making it a peaceful alternative to the bay’s more popular beaches.

Sandbjerg Vig Beach

Close to the harbour in Juelsminde, you find this fine bathing beach in Sandbjerg Bay. The beach has fine sand, is child-friendly, and less visited than the Great Beach (Storstranden) at the other side of the harbour.

Strandhuse Beach

On the south side of Juelsminde, you find a lovely little beach called Strandhuse Beach, also known as Grønbjerggård beach, with both a parking lot and restroom facilities. From the beach, you get a beautiful view of Funen and the bridge Little Belt.
