Endelave's beaches

The beautiful holiday island Endelave offers 25 kilometers of coastline with fine sandy beaches and clean bathing water. The beaches are scattered around the entire island, and you should treat yourself to a dip in the blue waves when visiting the island on a day trip or vacation.

Beautiful beaches on the island of wild rabbits

If you enjoy a dip in the blue waves, Endelave is a great place to swim. The water is shallow all around the island, making Endelave's beaches very child-friendly. Additionally, there is so much coastline on this sparsely populated island that you won't find crowds of people. In fact, in some places, you can almost have the beach all to yourself.

At the same time, facilities around the beaches are limited. There are no lifeguard towers and ice cream kiosks – it's just you and the magnificent nature.

There are four areas on Endelave that are particularly suitable for bathing:

Endelave Harbour

West of Endelave's harbour pier, you'll find an approximately 1 km long beach with excellent bathing water and a seabed primarily consisting of sand, but also with gravel and stones.

The beach itself is 5-10 meters wide and is located close to several shopping options.

It is here, by the harbour, that the bathing facility is situated. Newly opened in 2021, the facility features an 80 m2 large land area with benches and seating, as well as an L-shaped gangway extending into the water with several platforms and 4 ladders.

There is parking available in the area in front of Endelave Harbour.

You can park in the area in front of the harbour.

Søndermølle Beach

On the south side of Endelave, there is a beach approximately 500 meters long with excellent bathing water and a seabed primarily made up of sand, but also with gravel and stones.

The beach itself is 10-20 meters wide. There isn't a dedicated parking area right next to the beach, but it is possible to park alongside the road at the end of Søndermølle Road.

Øvre north

On the west side of Endelave's northern tip, located within the protected natural area of Øvre, there is a beach approximately 1 km long that is great for bathing. Along the shoreline and about 50-100 meters into the water, the seabed consists of sand with scattered stones.

The beach itself, which is 8-10 meters wide, is an area with sand mixed with gravel and stones.

There is an access road to the beach area via Kongevejen and the road Øvre to the north. It is possible to park on the grass where the road turns east. From there, you can walk 100 meters along a footpath to reach the beach.

Øvre south

On the east side of Endelave, at the southern end of the natural area Øvre, there is a beach approximately 1.5 kilometers long.

Along the shoreline and about 50-100 meters into the water, the seabed consists of sand with scattered stones.

The beach itself, which is 10-20 meters wide, is an area of sand mixed with gravel and stones.

There is an access road to the beach area via Kongevejen and the road Øvre to the east. It is possible to park on the grassy area.
