Just a short distance from Horsens town centre lies a beautiful and well-maintained park offering a wide range of activities for everyone. This historic manor park is one of the town’s favourite spots for families with young children and nature-loving city dwellers.

Prepare yourself for a great nature experience. The beautiful and idyllic Bygholm Lake is located near the centre of Horsens in connection to Bygholm Park. Go for a hike in wooded terrain along the shores of the lake, all the way around. The area is perfect for hiking, running, MTB and other outdoor activities.

This urban park in the centre of Horsens is located between the train station and the pedestrian street. This public park, which is named after Horsens’ most famous citizen ever, Vitus Bering, offers a cosy setting for relaxation in the centre. The park is best known for its many colourful rhododendron bushes and the guns from one of Vitus Bering’s expeditions.

This lovely park is located quite centrally in Horsens and is an obvious choice for a walk in some greenery. The park is the home of two exciting museums, beautiful architecture, interesting art, a playground for the young ones and many beautiful areas where you can sit and enjoy the sun.

In the heart of Horsens, you can experience a range of art pieces in the streetscape created by some of the most renowned artists of our time. The sculpture boulevard spans over three kilometers from the train station through Denmark's widest pedestrian street to Horsens Marina.

With it’s unique location near the centre of a major Danish city, Nørrestrand is a beautiful and easily accessible wildlife- and nature reserve. Here you will find great nature experiences and rich wildlife, fine trails and a 13 kilometre long bike and hiking route that is wildly beautiful and impressive.

In picturesque surroundings between Horsens and Brædstrup, in the Bakkelandet area, you will find a truly unique attraction with a fascinating story. The Uncovered Bridge – a beautiful steel lattice bridge crossing the Gudenå River – lay hidden and almost forgotten for over 80 years. Today, it is one of Denmark’s most popular excursion spots – and with good reason.

A troll has been spotted in Ring Forest in Brædstrup! Andthere are pictures of him! Bring your family for a fun day in the activity park and see if you can find the troll in the forest. He is said to hold something beautiful over his head.

In wooded terrain lies one of Denmark’s largest hills; The Sugar Loaf (Sukkertoppen) with a magnificent view of the beautiful nature of the Danish Lakelands. Walk in the footsteps of the Vikings as you climb to the top on one of Denmark’s most challenging climbs.
