Ø-oplevelser i øjenhøjde
Our favourite experiences on Endelave

Spot the island's rabbits
Up to an incredible 15,000 wild rabbits live on Endelave, and you can spot them all over the island – even in the village. Why not head out for a walk and see if you can capture the perfect photo?

Hire a bike and explore the island on two wheels
No sooner have you stepped off the ferry at the harbour than you will come across the bike hire at Udsigten Endelave. With 25 kilometres of coastline, the island is the perfect size to explore by bike. You can cycle freely along the island's roads without worrying about getting lost. We recommend a ride to Øvre in the northern part of the island.

Challenge each other to a game of mini golf
At Udsigten Endelave by the harbour, you can challenge each other to a game of mini golf with views across the blue waters of the Kattegat. You can also round off your visit with an ice cream or a light meal.

Cast your line from Endelave's coast
If you enjoy fishing, it is well worth bringing your gear to Endelave and casting a line from the island's varied coastline. The fishing spots range from extensive reefs to beaches with diverse seabed conditions, and depending on where you fish, you have a good chance of catching sea trout and garfish.

Take a dip from the harbour bathing platform
At Endelave Harbour, you will find a bathing area with a large bathing jetty featuring four ladders and a spacious waterside platform with seating areas. It is the perfect place to cool off with a refreshing dip.

Shop for local products
Endelave beer, locally produced gin, herb salt, handcrafted goods and local delicacies. In shops such as Smagen af Endelave, the Herb Garden shop, and smaller stalls and boutiques across the island, you will find locally produced items that you are unlikely to come across on the mainland.

Learn about the island's history at the small museum
Endelave's old thatched vicarage is now home to a small museum telling the story of the island's history. For example, you can read about the sinking of the old ferry AGDA. The house has been furnished as a traditional Endelave home from around 1920, complete with period furniture and everyday objects donated or loaned by island residents and families with roots on Endelave.

Walk around the island on the Kanino Trail
The signposted Kanino Trail circles the whole of Endelave on a 21-kilometre route. Along the way, you will pass through some of the island's most distinctive natural landscapes. If 21 kilometres feels a little too far, you can choose the 12-kilometre Mini Kanino Trail instead – or enjoy a shorter walk around the village on the Red Rabbit Trail.

Go on a treasure hunt and take home a free medal
Join the Endelave Round Treasure Hunt and answer questions about the island as you make your way around the village. You can pick up the treasure map from Kroen Endelave (or print it at home before your visit), and once you have completed the hunt, you can collect your free gold medal from the inn as a memorable souvenir.
