Take your good habits with you
Many sustainable choices are already part of everyday life – and they work just as well when you are on holiday. Sort your waste at the campsite or in your holiday home, only buy the food you will actually eat, and use a reusable water bottle instead of single-use plastic. Small things that feel natural at home also make a difference when you are a guest in Kystlandet.

Help yourself to local produce
Kystlandet is blessed with fertile soils, and many local producers supply ingredients to some of Denmark’s leading restaurants. However, you do not have to visit those restaurants to enjoy these local delicacies. You can buy directly from local producers, which you can easily find using Kystlandet’s Food Map.
Transport
Admittedly, public transport is not equally well developed throughout Kystlandet, and travelling long distances without access to a car can be challenging. On the other hand, Kystlandet is blessed with excellent cycling terrain, where getting around can become a nature experience in itself if you take the time to explore on two wheels.
