On the holiday island of Tunø, this small outdoor restaurant enjoys a prime waterfront location with views of the sea and the masts of sailing boats. As you step off the ferry, the scent of freshly prepared fish and the clatter of plates invite you in for a flavourful experience. The staff serve warm fishcakes with a cold beer or a delightful “stjerneskud” (a classic Danish open-faced fish sandwich) paired with a crisp, chilled glass of white wine.
The setting by the island’s harbour is simply perfect for soaking up the laid-back island vibe in the sunshine. And should the Danish summer weather take a turn for the worse, you can still sit in comfort, sheltered from the wind and showers, in the smokehouse’s orangery.

At lunchtime, the menu features familiar and well-prepared classics such as “stjerneskud”, fishcakes and fish and chips. Of course, there are also options for those in your party who are not fond of fish.
In the evening, the menu changes to include main courses both with and without fish – all naturally accompanied by vegetables from Tunø.
