Hjarnø Minigolf

On the beautiful island of Hjarnø in Horsens Fjord, there is a miniature golf course where the whole family can compete against each other in this fun family activity. Combining a visit to the island with a game on the cosy Hjarnø-inspired course is highly recommended.

Can you hit a golf ball through Hjarnø Church?

Usually not – that would likely upset the priest! But at Hjarnø Minigolf, you actually have the opportunity. One of the holes on this miniature golf course is equipped with a mini version of the church, serving as an obstacle. Along the way on the tour of the 12 holes, you'll encounter many other references to Hjarnø's experiences and history. You'll encounter, among other things, the Hjarnø Ferry, some of the island's animals, the old mill, and the legendary whale.

Hjarnø Minigolf is located in a cosy little park in the middle of the island. There are tables and benches set up around the park, and you're welcome to enjoy your own packed lunch there.

A budget-friendly experience

Hjarnø Minigolf is unmanned and self-service most of the year. In the small shop on the course, you can pick up clubs, balls, scoreboards, and find rules and payment instructions. It costs 40 kroner per adult and 30 kroner per child to play a round on the course. Payment is made in cash or via MobilePay. In the shop, you can also purchase ice cream and beverages.

Additionally, during the season, you can also buy fresh island vegetables, peas, strawberries, and quinoa from Hjarnø Kål og Grønt, as well as potatoes from Hjarnø Kartofler.

No booking required

You'll find Hjarnø Minigolf at Hovedvejen 33, right across from Skolehaven and next to Hjarnø Camping. The season runs from April to week 42 with opening hours from 10 am to 8 pm. During the summer period (June-August), it's open daily, while in spring and autumn, it's typically open on weekends. If you wish to play on weekdays during this period, you can contact Hjarnø Minigolf in advance – they'll ensure it's open.

Explore Hjarnø

Hjarnø is a small island in Horsens Fjord with just over 100 inhabitants. The island is quite close to the coast – the ferry from Snaptun takes only 5 minutes, and it runs regularly throughout the day.
