Café Himmelblå

On the first floor at Denmark's biggest second hand store in Horsens you'll find this charming little cafe, which serves a variety of lunch courses, homemade bread and baked goods, as well as coffee and refreshing beverages. Enjoy!

A casual cafe in Horsens

Café Himmelblå is the name of the inhouse-cafe at Blå Kors Genbrugscenter (blue cross second hand store) in Horsens. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful break from your sustainable shopping, in the refurbished interior. Grab a freshly made cup of coffee or sit back with a light meal.

The bread, baked goods and condiments are made right here in the cafe's kitchen. One of the staff's most tresaured values is that you get a homely and tasteful experience.

On the menu you'll find classic Danish lunch courses, such as frikadeller (meat balls made from grounded pork), rye bread, and various salads. Also, if you're feeling international, ask for the nachos or aquire 'today's meal'.

For your coffee break, enjoy a freshly made bolle (a sweet roll made from wheat flour) with butter - or a delicious piece of cake.

Support the local charity

Café Himmelblå is a charitable business where the profit helps create workplaces for the mentally vulnerable. The cafe has two main employees and a group of local volunteers from several of Horsens' assisted living facilities. By supporting the cafe, you support the daily lives of local citizens.
