The Endelave ferry

Take the trip to the island of wild rabbits in the Kattegat with the Endelave ferry and enjoy the beautiful crossing. The trip between Snaptun and Endelave takes an hour and there are many daily departures.

Take the ferry to one of Denmark’s finest islands

The Endelave ferry is the lifeblood of the beautiful island of Endelave, located southeast of Horsens. Every day many permanent residents and tourists take the trip across the Kattegat, and the crossing takes about an hour. The ferry is relatively large and has plenty of comfortable seating both outside and inside. The trip is a nature experience in itself, where porpoises and seals can be seen, among other things, so it’s a good idea to bring your binoculars for the crossing.

In the shop on board the ferry you can buy drinks, bread, sausages, ice cream, sweets, and more, as well as the popular Endelave rabbits that are a treasured souvenir from the island.

You can come on the ferry with a car, bicycle and caravan - just remember to book a place in advance.

Explore Endelave

Endelave has beautiful scenery and a charming island atmosphere. Take a stroll through the cosy town and enjoy a good meal at one of the eateries. There are many places where you can hire a bicycle and cycle the 21-kilometre trip around the island. And on foot you can walk the popular The Rabbit hiking route around the island. You can also choose one of the slightly shorter routes if 21 kilometres is slightly too far - they are all clearly signposted. Maybe you will meet one of the thousands of wild rabbits that the island is known for, and finally, you can relax on one of the island’s peaceful beaches.
