KØST Food Truck
Stop by the KØST food truck at the marina in Hou and enjoy a delicious fish dish at the waterfront or as takeaway. Sink your teeth into tasty fish cakes or fish n’ chips – or buy fresh fish delicacies to go.
Note: KØST's gastropub is scheduled to open on June 23, while the deli opens at the end of August. In the spring of 2024, you can visit KØST's food truck at the harbour in Hou.
Visit KØST's food truck in the spring
From Easter until the end of May, you can satisfy your hunger at KØST's food truck, located on the harbor quay in Hou near the old shipyard. With a view of yachts and ship masts, you can sit in the sun and enjoy a small selection of delicious fish dishes. Try the popular fish cakes with rye bread, a serving of fish and chips, or the seasonal salad with smoked salmon. You can choose from a good selection of exciting beverages to accompany your meal.
In addition to the prepared dishes, you can also always find a selection of freshly smoked fish products to take home for lunch. For example, smoked salmon, homemade shrimp salad, or seafood salad.

Thursday 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Saturday 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Sunday 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
The popular dishes from the food truck can be purchased for takeaway at the deli in the future.
Gastropub by the waterfront
Is there anything better than sitting by the harbor quay on a sunny day, enjoying fresh fish and a cold beer?
KØST Deli & Gastropub is a new focal point at the newly renovated harbour in Hou. The building serves multiple functions and includes both a modern gastropub and a shop selling fresh fish and delightful delicacies.
The owners, Birgitte and Casper, are well-known in Hou, where they previously operated a café and KØST's food truck. With the new gastropub, their ambition has been to create a natural gathering place for both locals and visitors. Here, they serve simple quality dishes with a focus on fish and seafood, fresh vegetables from Samsø, and local quality products.
Take a seat in the sun on the lovely terrace on the quay or stop by to grab something delicious on the go.
Opening hours for the gastropub from June 23, 2024:
Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00 AM till late (kitchen closes at 8:00 PM)
Sunday from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Deli with all the goodness from the sea
Adjacent to the gastropub is a shop offering an interesting and wide selection of quality products. Here, you can buy fresh fish from the auction, homemade ready meals with fish, delicious handpicked delicacies, quality wines that pair perfectly with fish, and good takeaway dishes.
The shop opens at the end of August 2024.
