The agricultural show in Horsens is an age-old tradition, first held in 1861 – perhaps even earlier. Throughout the years, attendees have been able to admire splendid livestock from agriculture, such as cattle and horses, and witness competitions where the animals were judged.
Over time, the show has evolved considerably, and today, Horsens Dyrskue is a diverse event with numerous activities and experiences for the entire family. While honoring the show's heritage, it's infused with more modern activities to cater to everyone's interests.
Filled with experiences for both young and old
Horsens Dyrskue comprises several distinct sections with different themes. A significant part of the experience involves strolling through the marketplace, where various products are showcased and sold. You can also witness hundreds of horsepower as large machinery is put on display. Come and listen to the roar as these machines come to life, both from the present day and the times of our grandparents.
And when hunger strikes, head towards the food stalls offering a wide variety of dishes and beverages. However, you're more than welcome to bring a picnic basket from home.
Children often gravitate towards the 'children's farm,' where they can interact with pets like cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and also meet farm animals like cows and horses.
True to tradition, visitors can get up close to the many magnificent animals and witness competitions to determine the 'Best in Show' in the rings. Horsens Dyrskue in 2024
The show will be held in 2024, as tradition dictates, at the Horsens exhibition grounds. Mark your calendars for June 15th and 16th. Admission is free. The venue is easily accessible with free parking available right at the entrance and nearby at Bygholm Park's large parking lot. If arriving by train to Horsens, the exhibition grounds are a short walk away through Bygholm Park.
