Whether you prefer a day on the water or an active day on land, Saksild Beach Camping has you covered. Here you can rent all the gear you need for an adventurous day.
Fun activities on land and at sea
If you like being active during your vacation, then visit Saksild Beach Camping (Saksild Strand Camping), where you can rent equipment for water sports activities or bicycles. The child-friendly Saksild Beach with clear water and tranquil surroundings is the perfect place for water sports activities for beginners. You’ll also find many great bicycle routes in Odder.
Bikes
The perfect way to experience the local area in a slow pace is by bike. There is only 7 kilometers from Saksild Beach Camping to the town of Odder, where you’ll find great places to eat and a lot of shopping opportunities. You can also bike south along the coast to the town of Hou – a charming ferry town. From Hou you can hop on the ferry to the car-free island, Tunø. Experience the island either on foot or by bike, we recommend exploring the island with the treasure hunt, so you get all around the island.
Saksild Beach Camping has both regular bikes, children's bikes, electric bikes, mountain bikes, tandem bikes, and racing bikes. It is also possible to rent a child bike seat, bicycle trailer, and helmet. Prices for bike rental:
- Regular bike: 100 DKK per day
- Bike with 7 gears: 150 DKK per day
- Mountain bike: 250 DKK per day
- Electric bike: 200 DKK per day
Paddleboard
For activities on water, you can rent paddleboards, kayaks, or a boat.
All paddleboards are inflatable and easy to carry to the shoreline. They are available in three different sizes, children, medium, or large. Wetsuit and life jacket are included in the rental price. Prices for paddleboard rental:
- 2 hours for 200 DKK
- All day for 380 DKK (from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m.)
Kayak
Saksild Beach Camping has both solo and double kayaks, which all are easy to use. Prices for kayak rental:
- Solo kayak: 2 hours for 200 DKK
- Solo kayak: All day for 380 DKK (from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m.)
- Double kayak: All day for 500 DKK (from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m.)
- Pedal kayak: All day for 500 DKK (from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m.)
There is a deposit of 500 DKK, which is refunded upon return when renting kayaks and SUP-boards.
Boat
If you prefer more speed, then you can rent a boat with an electric motor. The boat is suitable for 4 persons, and no certificate is needed for sailing the boat. The price for boat rental all day (from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m.) is 700 DKK.

The coastline along Odder, invites to long days at the beach packed with fun activities. You can also visit Odder and explore the town through the treasure hunt. The Coastal Land offers both adventures at The East Jutland Archipelago, in the “capital” Horsens, or during hiking in varied sceneries.
